Milan, April 3, 2019 – Costa Cruises has renewed its partnership with Europ Assistance for another three years to guarantee coverage on its cruises. The international agreement, initially signed in 2016, has provided insurance coverage for more than one million passengers since then.

The renewal of this agreement aims to ensure that cruise passengers enjoy their trip with complete peace of mind: over the next three years, Costa Cruises customers from Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Northern Europe, the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland will be able to choose the level of protection that best suits their needs, thanks to Europ Assistance's innovative and comprehensive insurance offering.
In this new phase of the collaboration, customers of the Italian cruise company will continue to have access to the Advance Booking Insurance and Basic Multi-Risk coverage for cancellations or reimbursement of medical expenses, but, in addition, new assistance services are added, such as the "Medical Expense Supplement", which increases this coverage up to 200,000 euros.
“At Costa Cruises, our guests are always at the heart of everything we do. We want them to enjoy an unforgettable vacation, as only Costa can offer, focusing solely on relaxation and fun. That's why we are delighted to renew our partnership with an excellent partner like Europ Assistance, which guarantees our passengers maximum peace of mind, with a formula that ensures the same level of service in all the main markets where we operate,” commented Massimo Brancaleoni, Senior Vice President Worldwide Sales at Costa Cruises.
“We are very proud of this renewal because it reinforces and confirms our leadership in the travel insurance sector. Having flexible and comprehensive solutions has always been crucial for renewing such important collaborations as this one with Costa Cruises,” stated Gianluca Zanini, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer of Europ Assistance Italia. “Being an assistance company means being able to guarantee a global and professional presence worldwide, even in hard-to-reach places, and significant organizational and logistical capabilities. All these factors were decisive in confirming the new agreement for the next three years.”
