Barcelona, February 28, 2019 – Royal Caribbean is investing $115 million in the refurbishment of the Navigator of the Seas. The 3,386-guest ship is now more daring and offers new adventures in the Caribbean, making it a perfect choice for all ages with new features such as The Blaster , the longest water coaster at sea; Riptide , the only industry-leading water slide; a renovated Caribbean-style pool ; and To Dry For , the first beauty center at sea where guests can pamper themselves while enjoying a glass of wine or champagne.

Starting Friday, March 1, the Navigator will sail 5- and 9-night Caribbean itineraries through May 2019. Then, it will depart for the Bahamas on 3-night weekend cruises and 4-day weekday cruises. It will be the first ship to include stops at Perfect Day at CocoCay, the first island in a collection of private destinations exclusively for Royal Caribbean passengers, which will open in May.

“We have reinvented adventure and blended it with the Caribbean spirit, making Navigator of the Seas the ultimate Miami getaway,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International. “Independence and Mariner of the Seas, the first two ships modernized in our Royal Amplified program, have quickly become highly successful ships, and Navigator builds on that same spirit with a combination of exciting new features and exclusive Royal Caribbean offerings that will surprise and delight both first-time travelers and those who have vacationed with us before.”

In addition, the ship features iconic elements of the brand such as Hooked Seafood, a restaurant with New England seafood, or Jamie's Italian, which offers the famous chef's rustic recipes; The Bamboo Room, the Polynesian-style bar with very fresh cocktails; or the FlowRider surf simulator, the rock climbing wall , and the revamped Adventure Ocean for the youngest members of the family, as well as new spaces dedicated to teenagers.
The Navigator of the Seas is the third ship that Royal Caribbean has modernized as part of its Royal Amplified program and will involve an investment of more than $900 million to revitalize 10 of its ships over the next four years.
