ARCTIC – SUMMER 2019
In this beautiful realm of polar bears, voyages aboard the Silver Cloud and Silver Explorer offer guests the opportunity to witness wildlife, pristine landscapes, and rarely seen cultures firsthand on 11 carefully curated itineraries. Highlights include:
- The little-known volcanic island of Jan Mayen, a haven for humpback and minke whales that feed in its waters, is one of the highlights of two 14-day Silver Cloud departing on June 18 and July 22. The first sails from Reykjavik to Tromsø, while the second makes the return journey. Both cruises explore a wide range of destinations in Iceland, Svalbard, and Norway.
- The isolated Bear Island in the Svalbard archipelago, a nature reserve of cliffs and home to some of the largest bird colonies in the Northern Hemisphere, offers guests the chance to see puffins, guillemots, black-legged seedeaters, and other remarkable seabirds. - Silversea's first crossing of the Northeast Passage, a legendary sea route through the Arctic Circle along the coast of Asia and Europe, will take place on the voyage departing Nome on August 10 for a 25-day journey to Tromsø aboard the Silver Explorer. This unique itinerary includes Wrangel Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to polar bears, walruses, and nesting migratory birds; Champ Island, known for its otherworldly landscape; Rubini Rock in Tikhaya Bay, with its striking basalt columns; the Severnaya Zemlya archipelago, famous for its breathtaking fjords and majestic glaciers; and the northernmost archipelago in the Arctic, Franz Josef Land, among other sites of significant historical interest.
- The Norse route in Greenland explorations will be charted with two expeditions: the Silver Cloud 's 12-day voyage between Reykjavik and Kangerlussuaq departs on August 14, while the Silver Explorer 's 15-day voyage from Reykjavik to St. John departs on September 20. These history-focused itineraries also offer opportunities for whale watching, witnessing magnificent and enormous glaciers, and experiencing breathtaking landscapes.
- The ill-fated search for the Northwest Passage by explorer John Franklin is the focus of the Silver Cloud 's August 26th round-trip voyage from Kangerlussuaq. This 16-day Explorer's Collection voyage is designed for history buffs interested in the great age of polar exploration, as well as those who appreciate pristine landscapes, majestic fjords, and exceptional wildlife.
- The world's longest fjord, Scoresby Sund, is among the highlights of the Silver Explorer from Tromsø to Reykjavik. The 15-day adventure links the glacial treasures of the Svalbard archipelago with the delights of isolated East Greenland.
- The chance to witness the Northern Lights will be available aboard the Silver Cloud , sailing from Kangerlussuaq to Quebec, departing on September 11. The 14-day voyage is designed to increase guests' chances of glimpsing this mesmerizing celestial phenomenon, along with other natural wonders.

Until November 30, 2018, an exclusive promotion is available in the Arctic that includes free round-trip economy flights, or reduced fares in Business class (from selected airports), plus free transfers between the airport and the ship.
ANTARCTICA – WINTER 2019/2020
The Silver Cloud and Silver Explorer will also explore Antarctica, with 14 fascinating itineraries sailing primarily from December 2019 to February 2020. Each is designed to offer the chance to encounter basking seals, playful penguins, and whales breaching the icy waters of this paradise. Below are some of the highlights of this collection of voyages:
- The Silver Explorer will offer three new extended 12-day voyages to Antarctica. Departing on December 5, January 4, and February 21, the ship will sail round trip from Ushuaia to the Antarctic Peninsula and the South Shetland Islands.
- An exceptional 16-day voyage from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia kicks off the Silver Cloud before its departure on November 24, 2019. The ship will visit Puerto Madryn, the Falkland Islands, Elephant Island, the Antarctic Peninsula, and the South Shetland Islands.
- Five of the popular 10-day Antarctic expeditions, circumnavigating the globe from Ushuaia, will take place aboard the Silver Cloud, departing on December 10, January 19 and 29, and February 8 and 18. Destinations include the Antarctic Peninsula and the South Shetland Islands.
- Both Christmas and New Year's can be celebrated amidst a world of winter wonderland on the Silver Explorer to Antarctica, the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, and more, departing from Ushuaia on December 17. The Silver Cloud will offer a shorter 15-day itinerary departing on December 20, visiting Antarctica, the Falkland Islands, and other destinations.
- The Falkland Islands and South Georgia will be the highlight of an 18-day Antarctic voyage aboard the Silver Explorer, a round trip from Ushuaia departing on February 3. The Silver Cloud Antarctic voyage from Ushuaia will depart on January 4 with a stop in South Georgia.
Antarctica – All Inclusive Package
