Barcelona, November 8, 2018 – Royal Caribbean International is adding new Alaskan itineraries for the 2020 summer season, allowing its passengers to enjoy breathtaking views of nature and experience adventures in uncharted territories. The company is strengthening its presence in the Gulf of Alaska with three ships: the Ovation of the Seas and two Radiance-class ships, the Serenade of the Seas and the Radiance of the Seas.
New adventures on the Ovation of the Seas
This ship, the first of the Quantum class to reach Alaska, returns for a second consecutive season offering incredible panoramic views of the region's pristine forests, with 7-night itineraries departing from Seattle. From "The North Star," the tallest glass capsule at sea, guests can enjoy majestic mountains, breathtaking glaciers, and the unique native flora and fauna of the area.
An excellent option for those looking to experience unique moments such as seeing the Northern Lights in Juneau, sailing through the Endicott Arm fjord, or strolling through the oldest streets of the Pacific Northwest.
Views of Alaska from the Radiance Class
For the first time since 2009, the Serenade of the Seas will leave the Caribbean to sail to Vancouver on 7-night itineraries visiting Ketchikan, Juneau, and Icy Point, Alaska. Meanwhile, the Radiance of the Seas will resume offering alternative itineraries between Vancouver and Seward, sailing between northern and southern Alaska. Both ships offer an immersive experience with nature thanks to their large windows and glass elevators, along with numerous leisure options such as an ocean-climbing rock wall and a wide variety of dining choices.
Beforehand, the three ships will embark on different and special itineraries to discover new cultures. The Serenade of the Seas will undertake a legendary 15-night voyage beginning May 4, 2010, departing from Florida and sailing through the Panama Canal and Central America to Los Angeles. Meanwhile, the Serenade of the Seas and the Radiance of the Seas will visit Hawaii, offering tours of rainforests, waterfalls, and beautiful beaches en route to Alaska.
