Madrid, October 30, 2018– Pullmantur Cruises – the only cruise line on the market that brings the Spanish lifestyle to the cruise experience – will operate four embarkation operations in the port of Malaga from Monday, November 5, until Thursday, November 15. This activity will mean that approximately 5,000 people will begin and end their vacations departing from the city of Malaga.
It is estimated that the average expenditure of a passenger embarking at a Spanish port is €154[1], an amount that includes airfare, port taxes, accommodation in the city of embarkation, excursions, and other purchases. Likewise, the expenses incurred by the shipping company itself, among other things, should be added.
The President & CEO of Pullmantur Cruises, Richard J. Vogel, says that “the excellent infrastructure of the Port of Malaga as well as its proximity to the city center are variables that have a very positive influence when we plan our itineraries.”
Along these lines, Vogel continues: “Our operations in this wonderful city – the birthplace of Picasso – represent a tremendous opportunity for the people of Malaga to enjoy a holiday on board with the convenience of being able to embark in their own town.”
The four operations
The Horizon will be the first ship to arrive in Malaga (November 5, 2018) from Athens, where it operated two of Pullmantur Cruises' most popular routes this summer: Greek Islands and Venetian Rondo. From there, it will depart on Monday the 5th and Sunday the 11th for two itineraries of six and four nights respectively, taking passengers to some of the most iconic cities in Morocco and Portugal.
Subsequently, on Thursday, November 15, the ship will begin the first part of its journey to Dubai in Malaga
The Port of Málaga will be the first stop for the Zenith after undergoing an eleven-day revitalization process (from November 1st to 11th) at the Navantia Shipyard in Cádiz. From there, it will sail to Gran Canaria, one of the embarkation ports for the Canary Islands, Madeira, and Agadir.
