For some, planning their trip is a chore. They just want to arrive and experience their destination to the fullest. For others, the journey begins when they book the cruise, and the research is part of the fun. Now, both types of travelers will be delighted with the new offering from Windstar Cruises and Utrip, a travel customization platform that supports Windstar's strength: taking guests to small ports where they can discover authentic experiences that celebrate the culture and community of each location.

Windstar's new trip-planning software enhances its already highly personalized offering of shore excursions. Interactive filters allow passengers to select their preferences in seven key areas, including art and culture, the outdoors, adventure, shopping, history, relaxation, and food and wine. The online tool suggests tailored activities in each port, offering recommendations that best match passengers' interests. The software acts as a local guide, featuring restaurants, parks, museums, attractions, and much more to help plan the perfect vacation.
Six itineraries are available on the new platform during a six-month pilot program, which will be extended based on its functionality and passenger feedback.
The tool is currently available on these routes, which include 30 ports
