Cruise Baltic has launched a new website designed to give cruise companies operating in the region much more detail about ports and destinations.
The new website was unveiled during the Cruise Baltic Summit held in the beautiful city of Klaipeda, Lithuania. The first to view the new site were representatives from virtually all the ports and destinations that make up Cruise Baltic, along with 10 cruise line executives. Cruise Baltic Director Claus Bødker explained:
“Cruise Baltic has always strived to provide cruise lines operating in the region with all the necessary information, and now we are enhancing accessibility and intuitive design on our new website. The site will function as a one-stop shop, and we are confident that it will serve as a valuable resource for cruise lines and travel agencies, while also strengthening communication with the entire industry.”
The new and improved website contains all the relevant information for planning an itinerary, along with a new design and features. Among other improvements, Bødker mentioned the following:
- Docking policies and port fees of Cruise Baltic partner ports
- Detailed and up-to-date information on more than 80 cruise ship piers in the Baltic Sea
- A complete overview of inbound facilities in the Baltic
- Calculate which docks can receive a ship by entering its length and draft
- A 3-year event calendar allows companies to anticipate flight schedules and event clashes
- Many copyright-free photos of destinations are available for download
- Passenger Experience Description – detailed descriptions of the experiences passengers can enjoy at each port
“We want to be sustainable, which is why we will no longer publish catalogs. Therefore, it is even more important to have a clear, relevant, and informative website. We saw, for example, many old photos of destinations, but with the new website, cruise companies are encouraged to download and use new, copyright-free photos in their sales materials,” said Claus Bødker.
