Helge R. Naarstad has left his mark on many of the world's most famous cruise ships. Now he will continue his work as Chairman of the Board of Norwegian Yacht Voyages AS (NYV). As President of Norwegian Caribbean Cruise Line, he introduced the new megatrend in cruise ships. He then created the most luxurious cruise product with the Sea Goddess I and II, inventing the all-inclusive concept, in addition to other developments that have become standards in today's cruise industry.
Cruise Industry News in 2015 named Helge R Naarstad one of the World's Ten Cruise Legends under the title "The Ultimate Experience." Now he feels it's time to take on the expedition market and introduce a new Ultimate Experience in the form of NYV's four new Expedition Mega Yachts.
Since January 2017, Norwegian Yacht Voyages has been developing its new expedition concepts and ship designs. Einar Hareide, an award-winning Norwegian industrial designer best known for being SAAB's design director for 15 years, is the mastermind behind this design.
