Silversea Cruises has commissioned Fincantieri to build another ultra-luxury cruise ship, with a planned delivery date in the last quarter of 2021 and a value of 320 million euros.
The new ship will be named Silver Dawn, and will be a sister ship to the company's flagship, the Silver Muse, which was launched in April 2017. This order comes after the company also confirmed the construction of the Silver Moon, another sister ship to the Silver Muse, which will be delivered in 2020. With the order announced today, the company's fleet will consist of 11 ships.
“Following the extraordinary success of Silver Muse, we are delighted to announce Silver Dawn as Silversea’s eleventh ship,” commented Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, Chairman of Silversea. “Silver Dawn will have the same quality features that guests currently enjoy on our 6-star ships. We look forward to welcoming guests on board in November 2021. My father’s dream was to grow Silversea to a fleet of at least 12 ships; today, we are one step closer to fulfilling his vision.”
