Madrid, October 18, 2017 – MSC Cruises announced today that MSC Lirica will offer an exciting new itinerary in the Eastern Mediterranean for summer 2018.The ship, departing from Venice, will make its inaugural cruise on April 6, 2018, and bookings are now open.

From now on, our passengers will have the largest selection of summer cruises in the Eastern Mediterranean, with a total of four ships sailing the region, including MSC Lirica.”
The new MSC Lirica itinerary will begin and end in the romantic city of Venice (Italy) or in the charming port of Bari, with stops at some of the most beautiful and fascinating destinations in the Eastern Mediterranean:
- Mykonos (Greece): a full day to visit the world's most famous Greek island, known for its striking contrasts and lively streets that lead to peaceful beaches, quiet restaurants and iconic white houses.
- Heraklion/Crete (Greece): The fortress of Heraklion marks the gateway to Crete, the largest island in Greece, with its fine sandy beaches and where (according to Greek mythology) the white mountain that can be seen in the distance houses the cave of Dikteon, the birthplace of Zeus.
- Corfu (Greece): a full day to discover the influences of Venetian, French, and British styles on the city, as well as to enjoy its stunning coastline with crystal-clear waters and the rock formations of the caves
- Dubrovnik (Croatia): From the old part of the city (16th century), surrounded by enormous stone walls, it is recommended to take the cable car up the mountain and observe this impressive city from above
- Bari (Italy): Set on the Adriatic Sea, the beautiful port city of Bari offers passengers an impressive history and golden sand cays within easy reach.
In addition to offering a new itinerary, MSC Cruises is giving passengers even more time to explore some of these incredible destinations thanks to a much longer stay in Corfu and a full day in Mykonos to enjoy, explore and discover these unique destinations.
MSC Lirica will offer this 7-night Eastern Mediterranean itinerary from April 6 to October 26, 2018.
As announced in September 2016, MSC Splendida will be based in Shanghai from May 2018. From there, this ship will have China as a market with a popular itinerary including destinations such as China, Japan, and Korea.
