Madrid, September 21, 2017 - MSC Cruises, the world's largest privately owned cruise line and industry leader in Europe, South America and South Africa, today announced changes to its management team to strengthen its leadership in Spain.
Fernando Pacheco has been promoted to Managing Director of the company for the Spanish market. After several years serving as Commercial Director and, subsequently, as Deputy Managing Director, Pacheco now assumes executive leadership of the company, taking responsibility for business development in the cruise sector.
Pacheco commented, “Spain is a strategic country for the company and I am very proud to contribute to driving the growth strategy in our market. I will work with a great team of professionals to continue strengthening our presence.”
Emiliano González , formerly Managing Director of MSC Cruises, has been appointed President of the company in Spain. In his new role, González will lead institutional relations and serve as the company's top representative in the country.
As González emphasized, “After more than 15 years with the company, it is an honor for me to continue being part of the great MSC Cruises team, in this newly created role. I also congratulate Fernando on his new position, and I will work closely with him to consolidate MSC Cruises as a leading company in Spain.”
