Royal Caribbean Cruise Line has announced two new appointments in the Spanish market, effective June 1st. These new positions are part of the cruise line's recent announcement of a strengthened presence in Europe through a new commercial structure.
Andrés Zambrana has been promoted to Head of Key Accounts Spain, a position from which he will lead the company's major accounts division. Zambrana began his career at Royal Caribbean in February 2009 as a sales manager in Madrid and in May 2011 was promoted to Regional Sales Manager for the Central and Northern territories. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving growth for the Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, and Azamara Club Cruises brands, leading the major accounts division and the team of Key Account Managers in Spain.
Francisco Marco has been promoted to Head of Retail Spain, a position from which he will lead the division responsible for the growth of the Group's brands with Spanish travel agencies. Francisco Marco began his career with Royal Caribbean in 2005 as Sales Manager for the Levante region and was later promoted to Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast and Levante areas. In his new role, Francisco Marco will lead the RCL sales team in Spain, distributed throughout the country, whose objective is to work closely with travel agencies to grow the Group's brands.

We are strengthening our commercial structure in Spain to prepare for growth in this market, where our ships have always been very well received by both consumers and travel agencies, and where the port of Barcelona has become a key embarkation point for our passengers. We are building 10 new ships to be delivered over the next nine years, a very exciting challenge for us and our travel agencies. The next delivery will be in April 2018; the Symphony of the Seas, the fourth ship in the Oasis class, will begin its inaugural season with 26 sailings from Barcelona between April and October 2018, and the response from the Spanish market so far has been exceptional.”.
