The Panorama II luxury cruise includes Motril in its Glories of Spain and Portugal itinerary

This Friday, the Panorama II cruise ship, operated by the Greek company Variety Cruises, made a stop in the Port of Motril, the first of fifteen calls scheduled for this season. Today's visit is part of the inaugural voyage of an itinerary called "Glories of Spain and Portugal," which will take it to the ports of Lisbon, Portimão, Gibraltar, Cádiz, Puerto Banús, Motril, and Málaga over seven days.

The president of the Port Authority, Francisco Álvarez de la Chica, and the deputy mayor for Tourism, Alicia Crespo, visited the captain of the sailboat and presented him with a plaque and typical local products. Both agreed that "this stopover aligns with Motril's goal of establishing itself as a boutique port, where quality takes precedence over quantity." The passengers and crew also received a gift bag as part of the joint promotional effort undertaken by the City Council, the Association of Municipalities of the Costa Tropical, the Granada Provincial Council (through the Tourism Board), and Andalusian Tourism, which is part of the Regional Government of Andalusia. The cruise ship departs around midnight, after seventeen hours in port, and returns next Sunday.

Variety Cruises is one of the world's leading yacht cruise lines, operating a fleet of 11 owned vessels. With capacities ranging from 5 to 36 cabins, their high-end yachts offer experiential itineraries in a private, intimate, and relaxed atmosphere.

Due to the cruise ship's characteristics, the assigned berth has been the recently renovated West Quay. Key improvements include paving and the installation of fenders and barriers. Passenger services have also been provided, such as a reception area and restrooms.
