El Musel receives 4,400 cruise passengers from two cruise ships, who will spend several hours in the city.
The Royal Caribbean cruise ship Independence of the Seas, en route from Bilbao to Southampton, docked at El Musel port between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., the Gijón Port Authority reported. It was carrying 4,276 passengers and 1,433 crew members, mostly British.
Also at 7:00 a.m., the Silver Cloud ship, from the Silversea Cruises company, arrived at El Musel with 261 cruise passengers and 218 crew members who were in the city until 10:00 p.m.
Furthermore, on June 8th the Port of Gijón will receive a luxury yacht, which will also call there in September.
