Tenerife is increasing its role in the ship repair sector every year. This activity is crucial for the offshore business, and the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife now also receives cruise ships like the Ocean Endeavour for repairs.
The ship will be in port for about a month for various repairs before sailing to San Juan, Canada, and beginning its voyage around Newfoundland to remain in the Arctic region for the summer season.
Thomson Cruises is expected back in November, as it does every year, for its repairs.
Recently, other cruise lines, such as Fred Olsen, have also used the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife for their repairs.
The port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife boasts over 30 repair companies, providing specialized services with all the necessary certifications.
