Norwegian Cruise Line today revealed that its award-winning entertainment program will reach new heights aboard the Norwegian Bliss, designed to provide the ultimate cruise experience and sailing to Alaska and the Caribbean beginning in June 2018. Norwegian will bring the best of Broadway back to the high seas with the Jersey Boys and an all-new, original show created by Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Warren Carlyle, both headlining the ship’s main stage, the Bliss Theater. The Norwegian Bliss will also feature a new comedy club and nightclub, a new cocktail-in-the-room theater experience, Happy Hour Prohibition – The Musical, a recreation of the legendary Beatles Cavern Club, and much more.

Weighing around 167,800 gross tons and with a capacity for 4,000 passengers, the Norwegian Bliss is being built at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, and is scheduled for delivery in spring 2018. It is the third ship in the Breakaway Plus class and will be the first ship with features and facilities to provide the ultimate Alaskan cruise experience.
During its inaugural summer season, the Norwegian Bliss will sail weekly from Seattle on seven-day Alaskan cruises. The ship's itinerary includes stops in Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, and Victoria, Canada, along with a glacier tour. The Norwegian Bliss will begin its first winter season in November 2018, sailing seven-day Eastern Caribbean cruises every Saturday from the Port of Miami, with stops in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; and Nassau, Bahamas.
The custom-designed Norwegian Bliss will offer guests the freedom and flexibility of “Imagine Bliss,” allowing them to create their ideal cruise experience with a wide variety of accommodations, including luxurious suites in The Haven by Norwegian, staterooms for solo travelers with virtual ocean views, and new connecting staterooms perfect for large groups and families traveling together. Norwegian Bliss will also feature two observation lounges, one exclusively for guests staying in The Haven, perfect for whale watching in Alaska or watching sunsets in the Caribbean. Continuing its tradition of incorporating original artwork into its ships’ hulls, Norwegian Cruise Line commissioned Wyland, one of the world’s leading marine-themed artists, to design the hull artwork for Norwegian Bliss. The artwork will feature images of humpback whales, found in oceans around the globe, highlighting the importance of ocean conservation and preservation.
