After announcing that Lisbon would be the venue for the next Seatrade Cruise Med event in 2018, it has been confirmed that Malaga will host the event in 2020.
“We are also pleased to announce that Málaga will host the Seatrade Cruise Med event in 2020,” confirmed Andrew Williams, CEO of Seatrade and Director of the UBM Group. The President of the Port Authority of Málaga, Paulino Plata, welcomed the news, which “has been made possible thanks to the commitment of the port and the destination to promote it as a gateway to Andalusia.”.
He also commented that “Malaga has positioned itself as the most important cruise port in the region thanks to investment in state-of-the-art port facilities that provide high-quality service to both passengers and ships, as well as our wide range of gastronomic, cultural and leisure offerings, in addition to excellent air, rail and road connections.”.
This event will bring together the Port Authority of Malaga, Malagaport, the Malaga Tourism Board, the Costa del Sol Tourism Board and the Andalusia Tourism Board, as well as cruise operators – Cruceros Malaga, a subsidiary of Global Ports Holding, who are working together to host the Seatrade Cruise Med 2020.
Seatrade Cruise Med 2018 will be held in Lisbon from September 19-21. The event, sponsored by the Port Authority of Lisbon (APL) and supported by CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) and MedCruise, features exhibitors and conferences, as well as a comprehensive networking program.
