For the first time ever, an entire ship in the Costa Cruises fleet has been booked exclusively for a wedding. From April 6 to 9, 2017, the Costa Fascinosa* will host the wedding of Adel Sajan, son of Indian industrialist Rizwan Sajan, founder and chairman of the Danube Group, the leading construction materials company based in Dubai. During the Mediterranean cruise, Adel Sajan, CEO of the Danube Group, will marry the charming Sana Khan, a dentist, beauty queen, artist, and writer.
More than 1,000 guests, including film stars and celebrities from India and the United Arab Emirates, will enjoy four days of sailing filled with various events and activities in true Bollywood style, designed by Wedniksha, India's leading wedding planners. The Costa Fascinosa departed from Genoa and is arriving in Barcelona, where guests will embark and the celebration will begin. The following day, they will arrive in Marseille and then set sail for Cannes, where, once docked in the bay, the wedding will take place on board. The cruise will conclude in Savona.
Guests will enjoy a travel program featuring themed parties, gala dinners, and entertainment with special guests. The wedding will take place aboard the ship, following traditional Indian rites but with a modern twist. Saturday, April 8th, will be the wedding day, beginning with the Baraat: the groom, accompanied by family and friends, will parade through the ship's outer decks to reach his bride, who awaits him on the upper deck in a dreamlike atmosphere. A grand gala dinner will then be held on the pool deck, complete with entertainment, music, and dancing.
The culinary offerings will be exceptional: 60 chefs, carefully selected by the Sajan family, will be on board to guide the kitchen team in preparing a wide array of dishes from Indian and Asian culinary traditions. The wedding cake will be prepared by Costa Cruises' corporate chef, Fabio Cucchelli.
Among the stars who will be on board are some of the most relevant personalities in show business in India, such as actresses Gauhar Khan, Bollywood star and winner of the last edition of Bigg Boss, Shilpa and Shamita Shetty, Dia Mirza, rapper Badshah, the Meet Bros and Vishal-Shekhar, authors of songs that have been used in Bollywood film soundtracks.

The Costa Fascinosa will undergo a transformation, adorned with the colors and charm of Indian traditions. Cabin access cards will be personalized, and each guest will be accommodated in a suite or balcony cabin, with the option to use the interior cabin as a personal dressing room.
