Silversea, the luxury cruise line, has made history by being the first cruise ship to dock in Bangladesh. The expedition fleet vessel Silver Discoverer visited Maheshkali Island, and its arrival was celebrated by a colorful fleet of local boats. The passengers explored the town and a magnificent temple where they attended a welcoming ceremony featuring a local dance.
The three-day stop in Bangladesh also included visits to Hiron Point, Charaputia, Harbaria, and Kokilmoni. The highlight of the visit was exploring the Sundarbans mangrove forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its large Bengal tiger population. The ship departed Bangladesh a week ago bound for Myanmar, where it will visit several destinations on a 14-day voyage.

Silversea's four expedition ships, with only 50 to 128 cabins, are designed to access remote destinations while maintaining luxury and comfort.
