Silversea has celebrated the completion of sea trials for its new flagship, Silver Muse. Rigorous assessments were carried out at the Fincantieri shipyard in Genoa, where the vessel is currently under construction.
Prior to its formal launch in Monaco on April 19, 2017, the luxury vessel Silver Muse underwent extensive speed, vibration, noise, endurance and propulsion tests, successfully passing all assessments in accordance with international standards and regulations.
“The successful completion of sea trials marks another significant milestone in the development of Silver Muse. In a matter of weeks, we will be welcoming guests from around the world aboard the newest member of the Silversea family. This new ship will offer the highest expression of excellence in elegance and comfort at sea,” stated Roberto Martinoli, CEO of Silversea.
The Silver Muse will visit 34 countries and more than 130 ports this year, enhancing the experience on a small ship with spacious suites, a hallmark of Silversea. The Silver Muse's 2017 itinerary includes 52 UNESCO World Heritage sites, from ancient Greek temples to historic fortresses in the Caribbean.
The addition of the Silver Muse will expand the fleet to nine ships.
