The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), the leading authority for the global cruise community, held its first conference of the year for industry leaders over two days in London. The Executive Partners Conference, held this week, brought together 200 delegates, including 46 cruise executives, from 21 countries. The two forums focused on key issues such as ports and destinations, and technical and regulatory matters
The session called “SharkTank”, inspired by an American television contest, was another of the activities launched during the conference that encouraged participation among the participants.
CLIA's technical and supply chain professionals were able to learn about the latest developments in the areas of technology, risk management, human resources, legislation, procurement, and ship design. They also had the opportunity to discuss issues related to safety, health, and environmental management.

Kyriakos Anastassiadis, the new president of CLIA Europe and CEO of Celestyal Cruises, had the opportunity to offer his first remarks on the importance of bringing together all stakeholders in the industry. “The European cruise sector has a promising future ahead, but only by working together as one voice will we be able to positively influence the progress and sustainability of that growth,” he explained.
