Silversea has designed a journey for passengers who wish to explore the flora and fauna of various destinations in depth. With Silversea Expeditions, guests can enjoy photographic expedition trips to different locations. A team of leading figures in the world of photography will conduct workshops and presentations on board and will also accompany guests on the expeditions to help them get the most out of their photography equipment. The company offers four different routes to these destinations.
Voyage 9705: A 14-day tour of the East Indies will offer guests a wealth of options to explore. Departing on February 27, the Silver Discoverer will sail from Kolkata, India, to Phuket, Thailand.
Voyage 7707: On this cruise, departing on March 30, guests will explore some of the most remote and sparsely populated areas of the West African coast over 18 days. They will visit the Namib Desert, enjoy Zodiac excursions to São Tomé, and meet the Pygmy inhabitants of the forests of Baguieli Village.
Voyage 9719: This cruise explores Alaska and the Russian Far East, an expedition that appeals to nature lovers, photographers, history buffs, and adventurous explorers. It lasts 17 days and departs on August 11. This birdwatching expedition will allow guests to discover species such as bald eagles in Alaska and puffins, guillemots, cormorants, sea eagles, fieldfares, calliopes warblers, kittiwakes, and crested auklets in eastern Russia.
Voyage 9720: The Silver Discoverer departs on August 29 from Otaru, Japan, and will travel through the Russian Far East. This 18-day journey will allow guests to discover volcanoes, hot springs, and countless birds, as it is also a birdwatching expedition.
