Princess Cruises, in collaboration with Discovery Communications, has developed a new onboard entertainment program for all ages, though it will be especially geared towards children between 3 and 17 years old. Discovery Camp will allow younger children to make new friends or discover new hobbies.
For children aged 3 to 12, Princess and Discovery offer a variety of activities and entertainment areas. The youngest children (3 to 7 years old) will have fun in "The Tree House" surrounded by toys. Children aged 8 to 12 can enjoy sports and leisure activities in "The Cabin.".
For children of these ages, Princess Cruises offers a program with games to foster their creativity and develop their curiosity. They can participate in sports activities such as basketball or take part in their own Olympic games, as well as play PlayStation, Wii, or Xbox.
They will also learn science thanks to the California Science Center, dance and sing in talent shows, or cook with the Jr Chef at Sea program.
Teenagers aged 13 to 17 will have various options to socialize and make new friends. The Rock the Boat Party will be one of their opportunities to dance and have fun at the disco. They can also sign up for dance classes, participate in video game tournaments or sports competitions, and watch movies under the stars.
This new in-flight entertainment program also includes activities for the whole family. They can sign up for talent shows, dress up for carnival, or take advantage of the excursions offered by the airline.
Finally, Princess Cruises offers several services that allow parents to freely enjoy a meal while leaving their children in the care of trained staff. The children can dine, watch a movie, or have fun playing with their friends while their parents enjoy the evening, knowing their children are in the hands of highly qualified professionals.
