The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced the addition of two new members to its leadership team. Andy Harmer, former Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the UK and Ireland, has been appointed Senior Vice President of Membership, and Bo Larsen, formerly the association's Strategic Vice President, will assume the role of Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.
Andy Harmer, who has been with CLIA since 2006, will now work with CLIA's global leaders to oversee the development of travel agent and professional programs. Similarly, Larsen, who has been with CLIA since 2014, will lead the strategic direction of CLIA's Executive Program worldwide.
The cruise industry continues to grow at a record pace, and these new additions will be crucial in ensuring that CLIA continues to understand the needs of its members and the wider cruise community. Both members will be key to the team led by CLIA Executive President Cindy D'Aoust.
“Both Andy Harmer and Bo Larsen have demonstrated a perfect combination of experience and leadership throughout their time at CLIA. I look forward to working closely with them to further develop their work,” said D’Aoust. “Their presence in Europe will be key to ensuring the positioning and execution of our work with all our offices worldwide so that the cruise industry continues to grow.”.
In addition to these two new additions, CLIA has welcomed Arnold Donald, Executive Chairman of Carnival Corporation & plc., as CLIA Global Chairman, Tom Fecke as CLIA Europe Secretary General, and Kyriakos Anastassiadis, Chairman of Celestyal Cruises, as CLIA Europe Chairman.
