Cruise tourism is extending its season and is expected to have a significantly better end to the year than the previous year, contributing to the deseasonalization of tourism in the Balearic Islands.
In this regard, in the period between October 1 and December 31 of this year, of all the ports managed by the APB, the port of Alcúdia is the one that grows the most with a total of 3 calls, while in the same period of the previous year there were none, followed by the port of Eivissa with a total of 21 calls compared to 19 in the previous year.
The port of Maó expects 22 port calls, the same number as in 2015. Meanwhile, the port of Palma is the only one to see a reduction in calls compared to 2015, with 126 in this last quarter, compared to 138 in the same period last year.
