Carnival Corporation & plc has signed an agreement to commission the construction of a new ship from the German shipyard Meyer Werft, which will be used specifically for the British market.
This new 180,000 gross ton ship will have a capacity for 5,200 passengers and will be delivered in 2020. It will be designed as one of the first ships to be fully powered by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), which will be less harmful to the environment.
