One of these cruise ships is the German-made Mein Schiff 4, from Royal Caribbean's TUI line, which was launched just a year ago and is 295 meters long. It is arriving on our shores for the first time, but its sister ships, Mein Schiff 2 (May and September 2014) and Mein Schiff 1 (May and September 2015), have visited before.

Among its many amenities, it boasts 15 decks, 11 restaurants, 13 bars, a 1,900-square-meter spa, and swimming pools up to 25 meters long. It offers a twelve-day itinerary: Palma de Mallorca, Cádiz, Lisbon, Bilbao, Le Verdon-sur-Mer, Le Havre (Paris), Zeebrugge/Bruges, Amsterdam, and Hamburg.

The second cruise ship is the Arcadia, from the P&O Carnival company. Built in 2005, it has visited the Port of Bilbao on other occasions and its facilities include a golf simulator, ice rink, running track, tennis court, bowling alley, climbing wall, cinemas, swimming pools, spa, jacuzzi, and casino. It follows a seven-day itinerary, beginning and ending in the English port of Southampton. It arrives in Getxo from the French port of La Rochelle and will depart for the English port of St. Peter's Port.
