The Port of Malaga has received, for the first time, the arrival of the cruise ships Koningsdam and Ocean Endeavour, which have stayed at the South Dock and the Palmeral Terminal, respectively.

On the occasion of these visits, representatives of the Port Authority, the Tourism Area of the City Council of the capital and Cruceros Málaga have received the captain of the ship, presenting him with commemorative plaques, in a reception held on board.
The Koningsdam ship, belonging to the Holland America Line company, is 297.20 meters long and has a maximum capacity to accommodate 2,660 passengers.
The Dutch company has planned 22 stops at the Port of Malaga during the current year, which implies the arrival of some 40,000 cruise passengers on board the shipping company's ships.
The Ocean Endeavour, belonging to Adventure Canada, is 330 meters long and has a maximum capacity to accommodate 198 passengers.
After its visit to Malaga, this expedition ship will stop at other Atlantic ports before heading to the Arctic region.
During 2016, the port is scheduled to receive a total of 10 cruise ships visiting Málaga for the first time. The next maiden call will be the Harmony of the Seas, on June 3rd.
