Le Havre welcomed seven ships in the last week of April and expects more to arrive in early May. The port will enjoy a wide variety of cruise ships and visitors of different nationalities from the AIDAdiva, MSC Splendida, Viking Star, AIDAmar, Ovation of the Seas, Celebrity Eclipse, and Costa Luminosa.
To cater to everyone, the cruise terminal has been adapted for the occasion. Staff will greet cruise passengers and provide brochures in their own language, as well as speaking English, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, and especially German. Germans have become the main group of cruise ship visitors to Le Havre.
The start of the season was marked by the presence of the AIDAmar, which will be succeeded by the AIDAprima. Also noteworthy is the presence of TUI, with the arrival of the Mein Schiff 1, 3, and 4.
The city continues its efforts to adapt to the profile of its customers. Around 40 shop and business owners received advice on how to deal with these tourists and learned to communicate in foreign languages thanks to a program developed by the Chamber of Commerce as part of the Cruise Club initiative.
