The Albéniz Foundation and Costa Cruises have signed a collaboration agreement to create the “Costa Cruises Scholarship,” which will annually recognize the highest levels of excellence in young musical and vocal talent. This award will be granted annually and will allow the selected young person to train at the Reina Sofía School of Music.
María Jesús García San José, General Manager of Costa Cruises in Spain and Portugal, and Paloma O'Shea, President of the Albéniz Foundation, signed this agreement at an event that was also attended by Rafael Fernández-Álava, Director of Marketing and Communication of Costa Cruises and Julia Sánchez, General Manager of the Albéniz Foundation.
Coinciding with the signing of the agreement and the presentation of the “Costa Cruises Scholarship”, the name of the person who has been awarded in this first edition has been announced, the young Mallorcan soprano Cristina Van Roy Rathe (1987), who offered an exclusive concert to the attendees.
