The ship 'Pacific Princess' docked in the port of the Autonomous City of Ceuta with more than 1,000 people on board, including tourists and crew.
The arrival of this cruise ship, which has previously visited the Autonomous City of Ceuta, confirms the commercial efforts that the Port Authority has been making in recent years in international contracting forums and participation in associations for the promotion of these traffics, and which comes to complete the number of calls and visitors for the benefit of the city's tourism and economic sector.

For the president of the Port Authority, Pepe Torrado, "the opinion that cruise passengers have on board is fundamental," noting that "when a ship leaves a port, the first thing they do is ask the cruise passengers what level of satisfaction they have had in the city, so this task is not just the port's responsibility but everyone's, hence the importance of the magnificent collaboration that the city has with the port through its Tourism Services.".
On the other hand, Torrado was very pleased with the comments made by the various cruise passengers who were able to visit different points in Ceuta yesterday, noting that "they spoke wonders of how clean the city is, its historical heritage, gastronomy and the friendliness of the people who served them in the different shops and hospitality establishments," he highlighted.
The works being carried out at the Port Authority could be completed by next August. This was confirmed by its president, José Torrado, who expressed his satisfaction with the results of the renovations, which, he said, "thanks to the decision we made some time ago to completely redesign the Muelle España (Spain Wharf) and bring it a little closer to the city, leaving the port for these types of activities or for ships coming to do these kinds of things, is beneficial for attracting tourism.".
Among the improvements made are leaving the dock completely clear, the addition of new, larger fenders to the dock, and the increase in security elements.
The Autonomous City of Ceuta will receive two new cruise ships next May. The first will arrive on the 19th with the 'Oosterdam' from Holland America Line, which has a capacity for 1,916 passengers. The second is scheduled for the 21st with the 'Thomson Spirit' from Thomson Cruises, which has a capacity of 1,350 passengers and crew. The 'Oosterdam' will be the largest ship to ever call at the port of Ceuta.
