Three cruise ships coincide at the port facility.
The Port of Malaga welcomes, for the first time, the arrival of the cruise ship 'Mein Schiff 4', belonging to the German company TUI Cruises.
As is customary, representatives from the Port Authority, the Tourism Department of the City Council, Cruceros Málaga and Intercruises (the ship's agent) welcomed the captain and presented him with commemorative plaques at a reception held on board.
During this year, two more ships from the shipping company will visit Málaga. The 'Mein Schiff 3', which made its first call at the port in 2014, will return in 2016 for two homeport calls in April. Meanwhile, the 'Mein Schiff 5' will visit the Port of Málaga for the first time next November.
Built in 2015, the 'Mein Schiff 4' ship is 293.20 meters long and has a maximum capacity to accommodate up to 2,506 passengers and 1,000 crew members.
In addition to this first stop, two other ships are visiting the Port of Malaga today:
– Costa Neoromantica: This ship, belonging to the Italian company Costa Cruises, is 220.52 meters long and has a maximum capacity of 1,782 passengers and 902 crew members. The 'Costa Neoromantica' has two more port calls scheduled during the spring season.
– Silver Wind: This ship, belonging to the luxury cruise line Silversea Cruises, is 155.80 meters long and has a maximum capacity of 296 passengers and 315 crew members. Four more port calls are scheduled for this year.
