Celebrity Cruises has announced that all ships in its fleet will feature a high-speed internet system called Xcelerate. Celebrity stated that this will allow for faster web browsing, automatic downloads, and easier streaming.
“Xcelerate will offer our guests a new opportunity to share their onboard experiences in real time, anytime, anywhere in the world,” said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, CEO and President of Celebrity Cruises. “We know this is what our guests expect—it’s what we expect when we travel—and we want to meet their expectations with Xcelerate, which offers some of the fastest internet access at sea.”
Xcelerate is now available on Celebrity Reflection, and will soon be available on all of the company's larger ships. (Celebrity Xpedition, which will spend a year sailing the Galapagos Islands, is not scheduled to receive Xcelerate.)
