Cruise360 will open in Marseille.
The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced that it will hold Europe's largest conference for travel agents next October in Marseille over three days.
Cruise360 Marseille will combine conferences, multilingual business sessions, and a trade show for CLIA member travel agents, while also showcasing some of the least-seen cruises in European ports. The event will bring together travel agents, cruise line executives, destination representatives, and CLIA Executive Partners.
Cruise360 Marseille will take place from October 20-22 and will offer the option of visiting select ships from October 19-23. CLIA member travel agents will have the opportunity to visit seven cruise ships – Holland America Line's Oosterdam (on the 19th); Carnival Vista (on the 20th); MSC Poesia and NCL's Epic (on the 22nd); and Costa Diadema, Thomson Majesty, and Celebrity Reflection (on the 23rd).
Travel agents will also be able to take excursions around Marseille and enjoy a gala dinner at the spectacular Palais de la Bourse.
“For the first time, we can bring together all of our travel agents from Europe in one place where we can showcase the wide variety of cruise ships available, while also offering sessions and business opportunities,” said Andy Harmer, Vice President of Operations at CLIA.
Harmer also highlighted that the conference “is expected to be attended by 400 delegates and more than 200 travel agents.” “Our members will be able to visit some of the ships that have made the fewest calls at Spanish ports but that hold great appeal for potential cruise customers. It is also a great opportunity to share industry best practices and visit Marseille, a port that attracts more than 1.3 million passengers each year.”.
