Cindy D'Aoust appointed Chief Executive and President of the International Cruise Lines Association

The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced that the Global Executive Committee has appointed Cindy D'Aoust as President and Chief Executive Officer.

D'Aoust joined CLIA in December 2014 and has served as Acting Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice President of Membership and Operations. D'Aoust will continue to oversee CLIA's global operations and work with the leadership team to drive the organization forward for the benefit of all CLIA members.

D'Aoust has over twenty years of experience in the tourism industry, most notably as Director of Operations at Meeting Professionals International, where she oversaw global operations, marketing, and client services. She also held other senior positions at Maxvantage and Maritz Travel.

“Cindy has proven to be an extremely valuable and highly regarded member of our executive team. She has become the perfect person to lead our global industry association thanks to her extensive experience in the travel sector, her leadership skills, and her passion for the cruise industry,” said Adam M. Goldstein, CLIA Global Chairman and President and Chief Operating Officer of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.

As President and CEO, D'Aoust will lead CLIA's global team to unify, represent, advocate for, and promote the common interests of the organization's members and the global cruise industry. Among her top priorities is a commitment to uniting the industry and creating a stronger voice to ensure that cruise travel becomes the preferred vacation choice for travelers worldwide.

“It is an honor to accept the position of President and CEO of CLIA, and to represent cruise lines, travel agencies and agents, and executive partners worldwide,” said D’Aoust. “CLIA is a strong and respected organization with an impressive global team. Now more than ever, it is important to collaborate and create a stronger global voice for the industry. I look forward to building on the organization’s success and fulfilling our goal of being the unified global organization that helps our members achieve success by advocating for, educating about, and promoting the common interests of the cruise community.”
