The industry platform will bring together executives from ports, destinations, and cruise lines to discuss opportunities in the cruise sector.
The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced that it will host its annual Ports and Destinations Forum in London on February 23, in what will be the first event organized by CLIA's Ports and Destinations Community this year.
During this event, CLIA Executive Partners will have the opportunity to actively participate in an engaging and open dialogue platform established within the framework of the CLIA Executive Partner Program. Eighteen cruise line executives, members of the CLIA Cruise Lines community, have already confirmed their attendance.
The Forum program will include talks specifically tailored to the needs and interests of port authorities and agents, tour operators and tourism organizations, and other stakeholders in the Ports and Destinations Community. Issues of paramount importance to the Ports and Destinations Community will be a key focus of the meeting's agenda. In addition, the program includes a networking, a welcome cocktail reception, and a dinner following the Forum.
CLIA's Ports and Destinations Forum 2016 will take place at the London headquarters of the law firm Hill Dickinson LLP, and is sponsored by Cruise Port Kotka.
The Ports and Destinations Forum is part of CLIA's Executive Partner Program, which offers companies and organizations the opportunity to actively participate in the cruise industry value chain. Within this framework, CLIA organizes events and conferences specifically tailored to each of CLIA's four stakeholder communities.
“Following last year’s inaugural Forum, we are delighted to bring this program to London, which includes enhancements to the CLIA Ports & Destinations Forum,” said Bo Larsen, CLIA Vice President of Strategic Operations. “Cruise remains a dynamic, forward-thinking, and constantly evolving industry. As the sector continues to grow, so does the number of ports and destinations that cruise ships visit. Hence the need to bring together all the key players in the Ports & Destinations Community to discuss the common challenges and opportunities that arise in this process.”.
