PortCastelló promotes cruise tourism at FITUR

The president of the Port Authority of Castellón, Francisco Toledo, together with the manager of the PortCastelló Foundation, have held several working meetings through the State Ports stand.

PortCastelló is present at Fitur through the State Ports stand, where the president of the Port Authority of Castellón, Francisco Toledo, and the manager of the PortCastelló Foundation, Miguel Rojo, have held working meetings with representatives of the sector, in addition to joining the events of the Valencian Community Day at the International Tourism Fair.

Today's visit is part of a series of meetings that PortCastelló is holding to boost cruise traffic and put Castellón on the cruise tourism map. "We are working to make the Port of Castellón a benchmark in the Mediterranean and contribute to developing the Castellón economy and creating jobs," Toledo stated.

It's worth remembering that the Port of Castellón is working on a shared strategy with the Valencian Tourism Agenda to increase cruise traffic in Castellón, and collaborative initiatives have already been established to make the Valencian Community and its ports more attractive to tourists. Francisco Toledo highlighted the project to launch a cruise aimed at senior tourism, which would travel along the Valencian Community coast, stopping at all three ports. It would operate during the off-season to help reduce seasonality.

The port of Castellón has already confirmed two cruise ship arrivals for this year. These are the Prinsendam, from Holland America Line, which is returning and will dock on September 19th, and the Silver Cloud, from Silversea Cruises, a company that is choosing the port for the first time and will arrive on September 21st.
