For greater convenience, the shipping company is adding direct flights between Seville and Trieste for Eastern Mediterranean itineraries during the summer months.
As part of their activity at FITUR, Costa Cruises and the Seville City Council met to explore ways of collaborating to support Seville customers and travel agents in the region.
Adriatic Sea itineraries are among the most popular destinations for Spanish cruise passengers. Thanks to a collaboration between Costa Cruises and the Seville City Council, every Saturday during the summer, from June 11th to September 10th, passengers can comfortably take a direct flight to Trieste, where they will board the Costa Mediterranea for an 8-day, 7-night cruise visiting destinations such as Split, Kotor, Olympia – Katakolon, Corfu, Dubrovnik, and Venice, with a full-day excursion in the city of canals.
Flights to Trieste will be operated by Air Nostrum, using exclusive, state-of-the-art, 50-seat CRJ-200 turbojet aircraft. This is a VIP flight due to the limited number of seats and the inclusion of catering . Furthermore, passengers can bring one 20kg checked bag and one 8kg carry-on bag free of charge, without having to worry about collecting their luggage, as Costa will take care of transporting it from the aircraft to their cabin.
“Our obsession is excellence and offering the best product to our customers,” says María Jesús García, General Manager of Costa Cruises in Spain and Portugal. “The Andalusian market is very important to us, and we are very proud to have established a partnership to offer direct flights to Trieste for passengers from Andalusia, thus also contributing to the sales of our best partners, the travel agents, who know customer preferences better than anyone.” Along the same lines, the cruise line is committed to continuing its support for the Seville City Council in securing direct flights from Seville to other embarkation ports such as Copenhagen and Hamburg for upcoming seasons.
For his part, Antonio Muñoz, the delegate for Urban Habitat, Culture and Tourism of the Seville City Council, explains: "This collaboration allows us to grow in a segment, that of cruises, which still has a long way to go for Seville.".
