The Port of Cartagena is attending FITUR this year after closing 2015 with a new record in cruise tourism: 151,195 passengers across 108 port calls. These figures have propelled it into the group of the top ten cruise ports in Spain.
The Cartagena Port Authority is participating in this fair with a stand within the State Ports pavilion, which brings together Spanish ports of general interest, although its representatives will also be accompanying attendees to the Region of Murcia pavilion.
The year 2016 looks very promising for the Port of Cartagena, with forecasts of a 33% growth in passengers arriving on board tourist cruises, an increase that will translate into some 200,000 tourists, and in terms of stops, 118 are confirmed throughout the season.
