Pullmantur Group announces the addition of Jurgen Bailon and José Blanco to its management team to lead global operations and sales, respectively. Both vice presidents will report directly to Jorge Vilches, President and CEO of Pullmantur Group, and will be based in Madrid, where the company is headquartered.
Jorge Vilches acknowledges that the arrival of Jurgen and José to the shipping company's Management Team comes at a "fundamental" for the Company after presenting 'Movidos x Ti', its new strategic plan that places the passenger, more than ever, at the center of its strategy, and the quality of the product, which must always be at its highest.
“I am convinced that his extensive experience will contribute significantly to consolidating the Group as a benchmark in the cruise industry and to continuing and increasing our success globally,” says Vilches.
Jurgen Bailom has joined Pullmantur as Vice President of Operations and will be responsible for the cruise line's global strategy in this area, which includes Onboard Revenue, Hotel, and Supply Chain. Bailom has extensive experience in the cruise industry, primarily within the Royal Caribbean Group, Pullmantur Group's parent company, where he has successfully held various positions since 1991, such as Fleet Hotel Director, Food & Beverage Director, and Vacation Experience Director/GM. He has also served as Vice President of Island Cruises in Brazil, and prior to joining Pullmantur Group, he held the position of Ship Management Services Corporate Director for both Royal Caribbean and Celebrity.
Meanwhile, José Blanco González will assume the Commercial Vice Presidency on February 8th and will be responsible for leading and overseeing the Group's commercial strategy and activity globally. Blanco has a long and successful career in the tourism sector. He has held various positions of responsibility, such as Commercial Director of Isla Mágica Theme Park, Marketing and Sales Director of PortAventura Resort, and General Manager of Sales and Marketing for Spain at Europcar IB, a position he has held for the past several years.
