Las Palmas de Gran Canaria expects to receive six cruise ships between this Friday and Monday, with a movement of more than 19,000 tourists and 4,000 crew members, according to the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council.
Today, the Queen Elizabeth, one of the flagship ships of the Cunard Cruise Line, is scheduled to arrive in the capital of Gran Canaria, coming from Funchal and heading to the island of Saint Helena, as stated in a press release.
In the following days, three home port calls are scheduled; on Saturday the 16th, that of the AID Ablu, and on Sunday the 17th, that of the AIDA Sol, both from the AIDA Cruises fleet.
That same Sunday, the Mein Schiff 4, a giant from TUI Cruises that has become a regular this season in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is expected.
The Saga Sapphire, from Saga Shipping Co., will be the ship that kicks off the week of cruises in the Port, on Monday the 18th, coming from Tenerife and heading to Arrecife, as well as the Thomson Majesty (Thomson Cruises).
