The Government of the Autonomous City of Ceuta intends to attract cruise ship traffic during the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) held in Madrid, considering it to be a very important sector for the economy.
Sources from the Tourism Services department have indicated that they have already planned a meeting with a company that represents cruise operators with the aim of attracting as many companies as possible.
The Ceuta government has indicated that a series of works are currently being carried out at the Muelle de España (Spain Dock) – the usual docking point for ships – with the intention of accommodating larger cruise ships and offering a better service to tourists arriving in the city.
The Ceuta autonomous government will present these improvement works at FITUR with the aim of increasing the number of port calls, which in recent years has been below ten.
Ceuta will send three tourist guides and will have 25 co-exhibitors from different companies, firms and entities from different tourism sectors.
