Royal Caribbean reveals what the tallest waterslide at sea, "The Ultimate Abyss", will be like

Royal Caribbean International today released the first image of "The Ultimate Abyss," the tallest waterslide at sea, sure to intimidate even the bravest and most daring and test their courage aboard Harmony of the Seas when it launches in spring 2016.
Standing over 40 meters above sea level and located above the AquaTheater, the twin stainless steel cylinders that make up the attraction will send adrenaline junkies hurtling down a serpentine drop of more than 30 meters at 14 km/h from Deck 16, in the sports and pool area, to the Boardwalk, located at the stern of Deck 6. The
"journey" aboard The Ultimate Abyss will begin on a glass platform where passengers can get a final look at the Boardwalk area before stepping onto a custom-designed mat. During their journey, passengers will hear various sound effects that will help create an even more thrilling atmosphere as they glide down to Deck 6.
Harmony of the Seas, the world's largest cruise ship, will feature 16 decks, a gross tonnage of 227,000, capacity for 5,497 passengers at double occupancy, and 2,747 staterooms. In addition, like other Oasis-class ships, it will boast seven distinct neighborhoods, including Central Park, Boardwalk, Royal Promenade, pools and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center, Entertainment Place, and Youth Zone.
