The river cruise company presents its new ships, flights included, no single supplements, and more family vacations.
After a busy 2015, which included celebrating the company's 90th anniversary, Tauck Line shows no signs of slowing down. On the contrary, the cruise line is gearing up for 2016 with two new ships, new itineraries, and new initiatives for the coming year.
New Ships:
Two new ships join Tauck's luxury fleet in 2016. The MS Alegría and MS Gracia are both 135 meters long and can accommodate 130 passengers – the lowest passenger capacity relative to ship size on European rivers. Each has 22,300 square feet of space suitable as luxury suites. Other operators use the same space for 190 passengers – almost 50% less space per passenger than Tauck.
Adventure on the Rhine
Tauck has prepared a revamped Rhine itinerary that includes a stop at Europe's highest railway station, in the Bernese Alps. The itinerary includes private excursions, dinner, and music at Ehreshoven, a German castle completely surrounded by water that is normally closed to the public throughout the year. It also includes Schloss Johannisberg, a former Benedictine monastery with a 1,200-year history of winemaking and home to the traditional Riesling vineyard

Tauck has seen increased demand for its family vacation plans. To meet growing demand, additional sailings have been added to the European bridge cruises – both on the Danube and the Rhine. A new 90-passenger ship, the Santa Cruz II, has been launched to the Galapagos Islands. This ship features connecting cabins, making it more family-friendly, and also includes a dolphin and whale watching platform.

Starting in 2016, the cruise line will include air transfers in the final price, ensuring a smoother booking process. booking will be much simpler for customers.
Solo Travel
has eliminated the single supplement for solo travelers on Category 1 boats on European rivers. This adjustment is aimed at solo travelers, including single grandparents traveling with their families.
New Projects
In 2016, Tauck will offer a new cruise to Australia and New Zealand. This 19-day adventure includes nine nights aboard the fabulous Le Soleal, a cruise designed to highlight the breathtaking natural beauty of New Zealand.
