Visit to the Queen Victoria, dinner and presentation “Around the World 2017”
Mundomar Cruceros and Cunard Line, the company with the longest tradition and a history built on almost a century of experience in transatlantic cruises, celebrated its 175 years of service last night in Barcelona, with a visit from one of its queens, the Queen Victoria , and held a formal dinner at its exclusive Verandah attended by a select group of travel agents, press and special guests.
The company presented “Around the World 2017” so that its guests could learn firsthand about the history of Cunard Line, the itineraries covered and to be covered by the legendary ships in its fleet, the three current queens of Cunard Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth and its innovations for the coming year 2017.
In addition to being received by Mundomar Cruises Director Agustín Quesada, Commodore Christopher Rynd acted as host and welcomed his distinguished guests. They were able to tour the ship and enjoyed a guided tour of the Queen Victoria before dinner.
The new catalog covers a bit of the history of the shipping company that since 1839 has traveled the seas and oceans of the world, showcasing its luxurious onboard services such as its facilities, the warm service provided by its crew, the elegance and comfort of its suites and cabins, as well as a cuisine so refined that it rivals the best restaurants in the world.
For the 2017 season, the three queens are offering different round-the-world cruise itineraries. The Queen Mary 2 will embark on a "Legend Across 5 Continents" voyage, visiting 27 countries, 39 ports of call, and 38 World Heritage Sites, discovering the natural wonders of the lush Amazon rainforest and the imposing desert, passing through Australia's breathtaking Great Barrier Reef, over 121 days, from January 10 to May 10.
The Queen Victoria will embark on a "Journey Across Three Oceans," sailing across the Atlantic to the Americas, then across the Pacific to Australia and New Zealand. After a fascinating voyage along the Asian coast, it will explore the islands of the Indian Ocean before finally reaching the Cape of Good Hope and rounding the African coast on its return journey home. Passengers will visit 23 countries, 37 ports of call, and 38 UNESCO World Heritage Sites during the 121-day voyage from January 10 to May 10.
Finally, the Queen Elizabethwill set sail "Towards the Rising Sun." The journey begins with a voyage to the African and Australian coasts, with the ship focusing on the rich diversity of Asia, including a comprehensive tour of Japan. During its ascent to Southampton, it will make stops along the exotic Arabian Peninsula and the Mare Nostrum, the Mediterranean. The voyage will last 122 days, from January 10th to May 11th, visiting 25 countries, 42 ports of call, and 40 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Mundomar Cruises thanked its guests for joining them on such a special occasion by presenting them with exclusive commemorative prints from the company, designed and framed especially for the event.
