The port of A Coruña, in Galicia, today welcomed MSC Splendida from MSC Cruises, the leading cruise company in the Mediterranean.
During the welcome ceremony, held this Friday at the port of A Coruña, representatives of the municipal and port authorities were present, including Enrique Losada, president of the Port Authority who stressed his satisfaction at celebrating another first call of a cruise ship in the port of A Coruña, and in this case of such a prominent company as MSC Cruises, which he thanked for continuing to include A Coruña among its regular routes.
Enrique Losada added that A Coruña will continue to invest heavily in the cruise sector, now that the port has consolidated a figure of around one hundred annual calls, with an economic impact on the city estimated at 8 million euros.
Opened in 2009, MSC Splendida is part of the Fantasia Family, the newest of MSC Cruises, and stands out not only for the beauty of the selection of materials but also for its careful details, such as its staircase decorated with Swarovski crystals or its spectacular solarium on deck 18 to enjoy incredible views.
