The Henna Cruise Ship, operated by China's HNA Cruise Company, will arrive in Tianjin at 4:30 p.m. today, Friday, said Zheng Weihang, deputy director of the Cruise and Yacht Industry sub-association of the China Communications and Transportation Association.
Henna will be the first cruise ship to dock in Tianjin after the massive explosions that have left at least 50 dead and more than 700 injured.
The cruise ship has no plans to change its scheduled departure from port at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday.
Another cruise ship, Mariner of the Seas from Royal Caribbean International, will arrive in Tianjin on Saturday with 3,200 tourists on board after a five-day journey from Japan.
The company expects there will be no problems during its docking in the port, but has made new arrangements to transport the tourists after they disembark, said Hu Yanfei, an employee of the company.
Costa Cruises also stated that the scheduled arrival of its Atlantica cruise ship in Tianjin on August 17 will not be affected.
