It was the first ship to undergo the Renaissance Program last fall.
The Port of Ibiza today welcomed the renovated MSC Armonia ship from MSC Cruises, the leading cruise company in the Mediterranean.
The welcome ceremony, held at the Port of Ibiza, was attended by representatives of the Municipal and Port Authorities and other local authorities. Mr. Alberto Pons, President of the Balearic Islands Port Authority, stated: “We know that Ibiza is a successful destination and that it is increasingly attracting the interest of cruise lines like MSC Cruises. Ibiza has much to offer and discover, and its port offers every possible facility to make visitors like those of MSC Armonia feel right at home.”
MSC Cruises' commitment to the "Pitiusa Island" is evidenced by the fact that in 2015 the company will make 14 stops on the island, with its newly renovated ship, MSC Armonia.
This time, travelers will have the opportunity to enjoy the island both day and night to discover and experience the secrets that await them at the Ibiza party.
After its stop in Ibiza, MSC Armonia will continue its voyage sailing through Mediterranean waters, visiting Olbia, Salerno and La Spezia in Italy and Marseille in France, and will end its itinerary by returning to the port of departure, in Palma de Mallorca, on June 15.
MSC Armonia was the first ship in the MSC Cruises fleet to undergo the ambitious Renaissance Program. The ship entered dry dock at the Italian shipyard Fincantieri on August 31, 2014, and remained there for 11 weeks before resuming service on November 19, 2014. Thanks to the additional 24 meters of length gained during the refurbishment, MSC Armonia now has the capacity to carry 2,680 passengers and features new areas such as the Baby Club, built in collaboration with Chicco, as well as new Mini Club, Young Club, Juniors Club, and Teens Club, which include an exclusive lounge with toys from the prestigious LEGO brand. Furthermore, the buffet is now open 20 hours a day so passengers can enjoy an even better and virtually uninterrupted dining experience.
