The Port of Palma de Mallorca today welcomed MSC Divina from MSC Cruises, the leading cruise company in the Mediterranean.
During the welcome ceremony held today at the Port of Palma de Mallorca, attended by representatives of the municipal and port authorities, Emiliano González, Managing Director of MSC Cruises in Spain, commented: “We are very pleased to celebrate the arrival of MSC Divina to Palma de Mallorca for the first time this season, a port with which we have a long history of calls. With the addition of MSC Divina, we now have four ships operating in the Western Mediterranean with calls at Palma de Mallorca (MSC Preziosa, MSC Fantasia, and MSC Armonia).”.
MSC Cruises' commitment to the Balearic capital is reflected in the fact that in 2015 up to nine of the 12 ships that currently make up the MSC Cruises fleet will call in Palma de Mallorca (MSC Splendida, MSC Preziosa, MSC Magnifica, MSC Sinfonia, MSC Armonia, MSC Fantasia, MSC Musica, MSC Divina and MSC Opera)
For his part, the president of the Balearic Islands Port Authority, Alberto Pons, emphasized that “welcoming MSC to the port of Palma is like welcoming them home. The relationship of mutual trust between the Balearic Islands Port Authority and MSC Cruises goes back a long way and is strengthened for the future with each visit of one of their ships to our ports.”
