Two simultaneous port calls bring more than 7,000 people to the city.

The Port of Cádiz will receive, for the first time, the Anthem of the Seas, the second largest cruise ship in the world and the largest to have docked at the Cádiz pier to date, with a length of 347 meters and a gross tonnage of 168,000.
The Anthem of the Seas is scheduled to dock on Monday, May 18, at 9:00 a.m. and will arrive with 3,868 passengers and 1,651 crew members. This ship, from the Royal Caribbean company, has 16 decks and belongs to the Quantum Class of cruise ships, which identifies it as "the ship of the future.
Its port call coincides with that of the Horizon, which carries 964 passengers and 610 crew members. If forecasts hold true, May 2015, with 50 announced port calls, will break the record for the number of cruise ships and passengers in a single month.
It's worth noting the socioeconomic impact that cruise traffic has on the surrounding area. The average daily expenditure per passenger is estimated at around €60, and that of the crew at €23.
